Breeding Program

  • Recognized as a Breeder of Merit by the AKC.
  • Earned numerous awards for puppies and adult champions including #1 Midwest Puppy, Bred by Exhibitor, and Best of Breed awards.
  • Won Award of Excellence at 2012 and 2013 Eukanuba Invitational dog show in Orlando, FL.

Public Education

  • Demonstrated sled pulling and organized educational programs at the AKC Museum of the Dog in Ballwin, MO.
  • Developed and set up permanent exhibit for the AKC Museum of the Dog: “Sled Dogs: Exploration and Endurance.”
  • Honored by the AKC with a Certificate of Appreciation for providing public education.
  • Served for two years as chairperson of the Public Education Committee for the Alaskan Malamute Club of America (AMCA).

Volunteering

  • Assisted with online communications for the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race in Alaska 1998.
  • Groomed Iditarod canine reporter and mascot Zuma 1998.
  • Cared for Iditarod sled dogs 1998 and 1999.
  • Participated in a sled dog race in Anchorage, AK.

Previous Career Experience

  • Lived in Jamaica for several years working in a stable and leading trail rides for tourists.
  • Marriott hotel experience.
  • Worked in food and beverage and public relations for 15 years.
  • Received multiple awards in public relations for Marriott.
  • Helped launch Marriott hotel in San Antonio, TX.
  • Trained for supervisory positions in the hotel business.
  • Recognized for exceptional organizational skills.
  • Operated an independent all-breed grooming business in St Louis, MO for more than thirty years.
